Van Morrison has been my 'go to guy' for years. A long, rainy Saturday...throw on Astral Weeks or Hymns to the Silence and I'm good to go. Sunday drive? Moondance or Tupelo Honey, all the way through, sometimes twice. And Veedon Fleece, that's for the candlelight.
When Sophie was tiny, I was so exhausted I couldn't remember any lullabies, She got a lot of Beatles songs, James Taylor songs and a few Van Morrison songs. Boy, can I butcher a Van Morrison song! But I still sing this one to her sometimes when I need to rock her gypsy soul.
